Typical northern bar. Good food, service is great at the bar, but less so at the table. Ended up moving to the bar to get a drink because the waitress hadn't stopped in more than 20 minutes after we were done eating. Hopefully it was just an off night. We'll visit again next time we're in town and revisit the ratings.

We stopped for lunch as out of town guests and we absolutely loved this place. Excellent customer service, the food was great and the atmosphere was pleasant. Will definitely be back when we visit the area again!

Great food for a low price

Everything about this place is simply okay but it's not what it once was. If you want a beer and somewhere to sit, this is an option but if you want some good food and a better atmosphere then go to Alpine Tavern or somewhere else.

Good drinks and food with ver y friendly service.

You can say this restaurant has served many Gaylord generations. Decor outdated but with a purpose. Waitress was super friendly. Visited May 2nd 2017

1st time stopping in. Had the pulled pork mini sandwhiches which was tasty & a side of fries. Pretty cozy atmosphere & little dark inside as my 2 uncles could hardly see. Our waitress forgot to put our order in so we sat there for 15-20 minutes before she came back over to say she had made a mistake. Service could have been better as there was only a couple tables with occupants but mistakes happen i guess.

Stopped for afternoon drinks and advertised fish dinner. Coleslaw was warm. Unappetizing. Server says because it was fresh made. And no chowder available on a Friday. Disappointing.

Lots of history here, one can only imagine who has payed a visit, over the 130 years its been there. Recommend a visit, park across the street.

Good food and good service.

Great Local pub and friendly staff. Food was good and atmosphere great. If your local or a tourist. I would definitely recommend stopping in to enjoy this place

Best Prime Rib in town

Great Food, Awesome Atmosphere, Friendly People, and best of all....really really Cold Beer! Will make it my spot.

This place rocks! The food was great. Drinks were delicious. Prices were absolutely reasonable! And Aldo was a superb bartender. Will definitely be back!

Decent bar food at reasonable prices. Dark, log cabin style atmosphere. Full menu from burgers and sandwiches to steak and fish n chips.

Super location! Casey is a great bartender. We were just passing through town and she made us feel like regulars. We just hope we get to meet the infamous Penelope next time...

Great food. The staff is top notch. Friendly Jessica and Tiffany were great . Would recommend if you are in town.

Hands down one of the best places I've ever been! Our waitress Laura was amazing. Food was phenomenal!!! We tried the clams, calamari, smelt, and cod- all delicious. Great local beer recommendations! I will be back 💜

Food was amazing and the service was even better. The owner is my new favorite person. From Cleveland, but I’d move here for this bar.

Service and food is really good.

The soup I requested before the meal came out seconds before the meal, so I didn't eat it, or get charged for it. The cheese steak could not be picked up, too sloppy. The ingredients we're good but presentation was terrible. The fries were crispy, as requested.

Good place for fun on Friday and Saturday nights

Came up to bar. Very clear we were new customers. The female bartender ignored us No eye contact and did dishes. Too long to get a drink.

Really good cauliflower. Our server was a little short with us at first but then he opened up and started telling us about the place and he was the only one working.

DELISH, DELISH, DELISH😋😋😋 Just wish fish prices would go back down to $9. We used to go all the time, @$12. But my family said it's to expensive. We go for the fish Fridays once in a while. SOOO GOOD!!

Our new go to bar whether by car or snowmobile. Smelt and Reuben were excellent. Waitress was very friendly and drinks were good👍

Always good service and great food, I highly recommend it for a unique menu and a cozy atmosphere. The double sided bar makes for great conversation and Aldo is a fantastic bartender, so its a great place to sit down even on a slow night. The Chicken Alfredo is great!

The Food was good . The server was very nice, attentive, and helpful with menu ideas of what was good to eat. I got chicken wings, and Mac n Cheese. When we left the waitress, and the bartender yelled "Thank You". Which I thought was very nice. I would go back.

Amazing food and amazing staff. Staff was very attentive and considerate of the children in our group. Our waitress was very on top of it, we didn’t even have to ask for anything. Will definitely go back when we are in the area again! Highly recommend if you want great food and a great experience!

Food was great, and loved the inside and played great dance music and had karaoke!

Pleasant staff. Prompt service. Was even offered Christmas candy while sitting at the bar. I've had their fried pickles before and they were amazing. Nice atmosphere for catching up with friends.

Cool place. 100 plus year old building. Original timbers inside. The current owner has owned for 25 years. He served us. Good beer, good food.
